About CowToy

CowToy.com began was a spinoff of Grandpa's General Store, a tiny mom and pop business in rural Wisconsin. In 2007, Grandpa's stopped selling online, but continued to provide cowtoys and other novelty toys through CowToy.

In 2008, we sold our home and began travelling cross country in our motor home. We stopped selling online completely, but left the websites online for visitors to enjoy.

Will CowToy ever offer items for sale, again? Anything is possible...

Today, just for now, CowToy is just for the fun of it! It doesn't really serve any purpose except to be a place to let your inner child run free. You can come to CowToy and play some silly games and destress from the cares of the day.

I hope you enjoy your visit to CowToy. Please, do read our website terms of use, if you have not already. Just by visiting here, you have agreed to them.

If you have questions not answered here, feel free to contact us, here.

Thanks for visiting and remember, Have FUN!
With Love and Respect,
Erin Gjertsen

Fun Cow Facts
Did You Know?

Cows are herbivores; that is, they eat vegetation. Cows eat grass, which is hard to digest. A cow has one stomach with four compartments; The rumen, reticulum, omasum and the abomasum. Cow are ruminates meaning they can digest food that can normally not be digested. While a cow is feeding, the food is swallowed without being chewed and goes into the rumen for storage. The cow will find quiet place to process the food. The food is regurgitated, a mouthful at a time, back up to the mouth, where the food, now called the cud, is chewed by the molars, so it can be digested. Cows spend 6-11 hours per day eating, 5-9 hours chewing her cud, and about 4 hours sleeping.
